Mirasol Country Club Wedding | Monica + Britt

Mirasol Country Club Wedding

Monica and Britt had a lovely destination wedding right here in South Florida, since they live in Chicago. Take a look back at their Chicago engagement session where we really got to know them and hit all their favorite spots in the city. Now, they had a beautiful Mirasol Country Club wedding. First, they got ready at PGA National Resort and Spa.  Then we headed across the way to the Country Club at Mirasol where they had their first look, portraits, Ketuba signing, Jewish ceremony, and reception.

About the Bride: “First generation American. Born and raised in Wayne, NJ; 1 older brother, sister in law and 2 gorgeous nieces (flower girls) and 1 adorable nephew (ring bearer). Attended college in the Midwest (Indiana University) and upon graduation moved to Chicago and have lived here ever since. Very active in fitness which is how I met my incredible fiancé – who would have thought the fear of my Gilt City “Deal” expiring would have led me to the man of my dreams! It was love at first “hip press”. I love to cook, eat, dance & travel. My family – albeit spread across the country is the most important thing in my world.”

About the Groom: “Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL by my mom and grandparents, Bop and Paw Paw; 1 younger brother. Attended The University of Alabama. Strength coach at Alabama and Northern Illinois while completing my second degree in Exercise Science. Met my fiancé in the gym and we’ve been working out together ever since.”

About the Couple: “We met in the gym, I was Monica’s trainer and she hated the Hip Press. I would email her throughout the week with the dreaded count-down until it was time to get under the weight. Our brief emails soon blossomed to longer sentences and then text messages and fun conversations. She practically interviewed me with every question she could think of. Then, after I helped her down the stairs after a brutal weight session, we decided to hang out outside the gym. The rest is history, we literally never left each other’s side.”

What’s Next? “Protein powder, grilled chicken breasts, veggies, and weight training. Oh and little nuggets re-racking the weights for us.”
