Diana and Luis always dreamed of an outside wedding close to nature and under the stars. This is why they chose the Palm Beach Zoo to host their special day. Having your wedding at the Zoo is definitely a unique idea, and the Sun Sentinel even featured one of our photos from their wedding to showcase the venue as an “out-of-the-box wedding idea.” Diana did a first look with her Father before seeing Luis and taking portraits at The Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach. Then they took some more portraits at the Zoo before having their dream night time ceremony and reception at the Zoo. They used colors of gold, white, pale yellow and hints of red in their decor and kept the animal theme going. It was amazing how guests were entertained during cocktail hour with an up close experience with the animals!
About the Bride: Diana is a first generation Vietnamese woman as well as the oldest child on both her mother and father’s sides. She’s a wide-eyed, curious, life-long learner who loves nature, music, traveling, and food.
About the Groom: Luis immigrated here as a child with his family from the Dominican Republic to Ohio. He’s young at heart, a true techie, and a gamer with an artsy side.
About the Couple: Diana’s the idealist while Luis is the realist. But they are both creative and enjoy each others company very much. Coming from immigrant families, they have a unique bond & histories that they hope to share with their children one day.
Their LOVE Story: Diana had just moved to Cleveland and was invited to a Halloween party by a new friend she met at her job orientation. Luis was a Clevelander just headed to a friend’s halloween party. The host and some of her friends thought Luis and Diana should meet and the rest was history. Luis was dressed like an 80’s rapper a la Run DMC and Diana was a 70’s disco girl a la Foxy Cleopatra from Austin Powers.
What’s Next? They’ve been a team for over 7 years now and hope to continue to be the best team mates to each other wherever life takes them and throws at them all the way until the end.
