How did they meet? They are both aerospace engineers and met at work. Adam says “We met at work over instant messenger, first discussion was about zombie fortifications. We first met in person at a big meeting where I had to make a presentation, where I couldn’t stop looking at her wondering who the new girl was. I got tied up in conversations with our customer and she casually walked and asked if I’d killed any zombies lately. We were both seeing people at the time so it took a little while longer before we figured it all out and started dating.”
About the Bride: Patricia loves traveling, cooking, watching period movies, collecting vintage pieces, and antiques. She runs a bespoke costuming business on the side. Patricia is also a seamstress so she worked a little on her own wedding gown, and she also made her own veil and headpiece.
Patricia’s mother passed away a few years ago. She had a single red rose in her bouquet from her mother’s rose bush, as well as the roses on the wedding cake in memory of her mother.
About the Groom: Adam loves traveling, cooking, mountain biking and punk rock music.
How did Adam propose? “I hid the ring in her Christmas stocking before we were planning on taking down the Christmas decorations. She had been saying that she was sad that we had to take it all down because she loved decorating the room. I stepped out of the room for a second and of course that’s when she went to take down her stocking. She pulled the box out and yelped my name. I came in, got on one knee, and asked her if she’d be my wife. Star Wars was playing on the tv in the background.”
